Pair of 1940s–50s lounge armchairs, woven cord seats and backs, maker unknown, Eckart Muthesius style. Dark-stained wood frames carry gently curved, rounded armrests and are stabilised by H-stretcher bases; the seats and backs are woven throughout in a basket-weave pattern of natural brown cord.
One chair has a small hole in the seat weave; the wood frames and remaining cord weave are otherwise consistent across both chairs.
