Privacy policy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of sellers and users. This privacy policy covers the collection, use, protection and deletion of personal data gathered through the website of Vindeco OÜ at www.vintiik.ee (hereinafter the website). Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, the Personal Data Protection Act and the Electronic Communications Act.

Definitions

Personal data is any information about a natural person that makes it possible to identify that person directly or indirectly.

Processing of personal data is any operation performed on the personal data of a website user (hereinafter the user) – collecting, processing, storing, correcting or deleting data.

Users are all persons who visit the website, order goods from the online shop, subscribe to the newsletter, or provide information to Vindeco OÜ.

Validity of the privacy policy

Data protection regulation applies only to the data of natural persons and does not apply to the data of legal persons.

Processing of personal data

The controller of personal data is Vindeco OÜ: registry code 16154751, address Jõekaare tee 7-10, Veibri village, Luunja municipality, Tartu county, Estonia; email hello@vintiik.ee.

Collection and use of personal data

Vindeco OÜ collects the following personal data through the website, in the ways described:

  • user's name and email address – when subscribing to the mailing list or sending an email;
  • user's name, email address, contact telephone number, delivery address – when ordering goods from the online shop;
  • user's name, email address – when registering an account in the online shop;
  • website visitor statistics via Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel – when visiting the website;
  • user's name, email address, telephone, name of the represented company, company website, company social media account(s), company location, details of current sales activity (description of goods, sales platforms) – when applying and registering to become a seller.

Vindeco OÜ uses personal data:

  • to send newsletters to the user's email address, with the user's prior consent, informing them of new products and campaigns and other marketing content;
  • to respond to user enquiries;
  • to fulfil orders placed by the user in the online shop, for example delivering goods, communicating with the user, and issuing invoices;
  • to provide a personalised website experience when an online shop account is created;
  • to improve the website's user experience and market more effectively, using website visitor statistics.

Sharing and transfer of data

Vindeco OÜ may authorise other persons (hereinafter the processor) to process the user's personal data, where Vindeco OÜ provides services to the user by means of that person's product or service. A contract is concluded between Vindeco OÜ and the processor requiring the processor to keep the personal data confidential and to ensure its protection.

Processors provide:

  • email delivery and management systems;
  • website development and hosting;
  • delivery of online shop orders;
  • analysis of website usage statistics;
  • social media use and analysis of social media statistics;
  • accounting software.

Third countries. Vindeco OÜ does not transfer your personal data to third countries (countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area). Nevertheless, personal data collected with the help of cookie providers may be transferred to a country outside the European Economic Area (for example to the United States in the case of Google Analytics cookies). Vindeco OÜ does everything in its power to ensure that such transfers comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation, and applies appropriate measures to ensure the protection and security of your personal data.

Retention and security of personal data

Vindeco OÜ retains personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose or as required by law. For example, accounting data is retained for 7 years from the end of the financial year, while an email address on the mailing list is retained until the user asks to be removed from it.

Vindeco OÜ applies all reasonable measures to protect the personal data it processes. Access to modify and process personal data is limited to authorised persons only, and the personal data of all users is treated as confidential information.

User rights

The user has the right at any time to object to the processing of their personal data, except where processing is necessary to fulfil a claim arising from a contract, including the fulfilment of online shop orders.

The user has the right:

  • to request access to their data;
  • to request the correction of personal data, or its deletion under the conditions provided by law;
  • to request the restriction of processing of personal data;
  • to request the portability of personal data.

To exercise these rights, the user must send a corresponding request to hello@vintiik.ee. In order to ensure the security of personal data processing, the user's request must be digitally signed. Vindeco OÜ has the right to refuse the user's request if the user's identity cannot be verified or if the transfer of personal data would not be secure.

If the user is on the Vindeco OÜ mailing list, they can remove themselves from it and unsubscribe from further newsletters using the link at the end of the email.

If the user believes that their rights have been violated in the processing of personal data, they have the right to contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.

Use of cookies

The Vindeco OÜ website uses cookies in order to ensure a better user experience and more effective marketing, and to collect usage statistics. Cookies are small text files that the browser automatically saves to the device used by the user. They are widely used to make websites work better and more efficiently.

Technical cookies are necessary for the user to be able to navigate the website at all and use its functions. Analytical cookies collect information about how the website is used. The purpose of third-party analytical cookies is to optimise marketing communication. In addition to analytical cookies, the online shop uses pixels to track website use. In doing so, no personally identifiable data is processed. Authentication cookies allow the website to remember choices made by the user (for example name or language). Advertising cookies are used by websites to offer advertising targeted to the user's interests. Cookies regulate how many times a user sees a particular advertisement and help measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign.

The user is deemed to have consented to cookies if cookies are enabled in their browser settings. Browsers often allow cookie files to be stored on the device by default. The user may disable the use of cookies on their device or delete them by changing the relevant settings in their browser. If cookies are not used, the website may not work correctly.

Price drop alerts

If a user asks to be told when the price of a specific item comes down, we store their email address, which item the alert was requested for, and the date of the request. We use this data only to send alerts about that item's price. The address is not added to a newsletter, is not used for any other marketing, and is not passed to third parties.

The legal basis for processing is the user's consent, which they give by submitting the form. Consent can be withdrawn at any time using the link at the end of any such alert email, or by replying to it. The request is deleted when the item is sold, or 12 months after it was made — whichever comes first.

The data is stored on Vindeco OÜ's own server hosted by Railway, and the alert emails are sent through the service provider Resend. Both process the data only on our instructions.

Changes to the privacy policy

Vindeco OÜ reserves the right to change the privacy policy unilaterally and without prior notice, in order to ensure its compliance with the law. The latest version of the privacy policy is always available on the website.
